As Lebanese, we offer our guests the best food and comfort that we can afford. We take pride in our home and seek to make it the centre of our social like.
The most casual caller is immediately offered a cup of coffee and even the unexpected visitor is pressed to stay on for a full meal, which generally consists of a variety of the dishes and can always be produced at extremely short notice.
An average Lebanese household has a constant stock of pickles, olives, cheese, yoghurt, nuts, grain, herbs and spices. Mezze, is what you can probably translate to as Starters and it consists of a large variety of food, displayed in small dishes. It is an important part of the Lebanese social life. It is a leisurely, relaxing period in which eating and drinking is accompanied by conversation.
At Orjowan, we hope that you will feel welcome in our environment; our aim is for you to enjoy our food and our traditions, and maybe take a small part of Lebanon with you.
